Jacob De Hann’s concert at the church of San Francesco di Vittoria Apuana

After the training stage aimed at the members of the Banda La Marinara held exceptionally by Jacob de Haan, the maestro will perform in a concert open to the public and free of charge, organized by the city band complex, with the patronage of the Municipality of Forte dei Marmi, tomorrow Sunday 21st April at 9.00 pm at the Church of San Francesco in Vittoria Apuana.

An extraordinary opportunity to listen to one of the most popular and widely played wind music composers of our time.

His compositions, mostly written on commission, are known throughout the world, especially those based on combinations of styles similar to film music.

“Oregon,” his most performed composition, brought about his international breakthrough. His band works also include exciting concert works with varying degrees of difficulty, short concert works, teaching materials for beginners, entertainment music and marches. He also writes various arrangements of existing classical and choral works.

De Haan is regularly invited as a guest conductor for performances of his works. He also holds masterclasses and is a member of the jury in international competitions. He is active in many European countries as well as Peru, Brazil, Colombia, South Korea, Australia, Singapore and the United States. In Germany he worked at the Bayerische Musikakademie (Bavarian Music Academy) and at the Bundesakademie für musikalische Jugendbildung (Federal Academy for Youth Music Education) in Trossingen. De Haan works with several professional orchestras and groups, as well as famous singers.
