three of them rammed police cars

Tonight, State Police officers on duty at the General Prevention and Public Relief Office arrested two individuals for the crimes of injury to a public official and damage to state property. Following a phone call received by the local Operations Room, in which an attempted theft was reported in a house in the city center of Reggio Calabria, the Flying police quickly reached the indicated place, noting that the entrance gate had been forced of the apartment.

From viewing the camera system present in the area of the house, the State Police Agents were able to detect that two subjects had approached the gate attempting to force the padlock and then had driven away in a Fiat Panda, which computer systems had been reported stolen yesterday morning. The note of what happened was sent to the police officers in the area and, a few hours later, the car was identified by a police station in the city centre. The operators activated the acoustic and visual systems to order the driver of the car to stop and, on the other hand, voluntarily hit the police car, thus ending its race and causing injuries to two police officers.

The driver of the stolen car, a 20-year-old from Reggio, was immediately stopped and identified, while two other subjects attempted to escape on foot but were promptly stopped by the police station staff who identified them, a 20-year-old and a young minor. Both adults were then arrested for resisting and injuring a public official, as well as damaging state property, while the minor, as ordered by the Juvenile Court, was entrusted to her mother pending subsequent determinations.
