High pressure returns to Sicily and after a few days of bad weather a new stability arrives with sun and partly cloudy skies everywhere. Temperatures remain stationary. These are the weather forecasts in Sicily for Saturday 20 April.
Specifically, on the Tyrrhenian coast, the Ionian coast, the southern coast, on the Apennines and inland areas, mostly clear or slightly cloudy skies for the entire day.
Moderate westerly winds rotating in the south-west quadrants. Lower Tyrrhenian Sea from almost calm to very rough; Channel and Sea of Sicily from very rough to rough.

Temperatures remain stable on the island. Highs between 17 and 23 degrees. 17 degrees are expected in Agrigento, 19 in Caltanissetta, 22 in Catania, 17 in Enna, 21 in Messina, 20 in Palermo, 17 in Ragusa, 23 in Syracuse, 17 in Trapani.

North. Slight increase in pressure on our regions therefore the day will pass with a mostly stable and sunny morning, in the afternoon the sun will continue to be prevalent, but not in the North-East where the rapidly increasing cloud cover could cause precipitation, locally including thunderstorms. Winds from the north, temperatures slightly rising during the day, cold at night.
Center and Sardinia. A cyclonic vortex is forming over our regions therefore the day will start immediately with many clouds and some light rain in the Apennines and in upper Tuscany and Marche, then the weather will worsen in most of the peninsular regions with showers, local thunderstorms and snowfalls above the Approximately 1300 meters (decreasing in the evening). South and Sicily. The pressure drops again due to the arrival of a cyclone. The day will be characterized by a mostly sunny morning, then, in the afternoon the atmosphere will gradually become more unstable and with the arrival of thunderstorms and local hailstorms in Campania and Puglia, locally in the Alto Potenza area. Snow at 1300 meters. It will be sunny elsewhere. Roughly stationary temperatures.
Sunday 21 April
High pressure embraces the island guaranteeing stable and sunny weather, except for some harmless clouds arriving in the evening. Specifically, on the Tyrrhenian coast and the Ionian coast, mostly clear or slightly cloudy skies for the entire day, except for the presence of some evening cloudiness; on the southern coast skies initially slightly or partially cloudy but with increasing cloud cover starting from the afternoon; in the Apennines and inland areas, day with variable weather, with more clearing during the afternoon.
Moderate winds from the north-western quadrants. Lower Tyrrhenian Sea from almost calm to rough; Channel from very rough to rough; Rough Sicilian sea.
North. The pressure decreases again due to the approach of a cyclonic vortex. The day will pass with a mostly sunny morning with clear or slightly cloudy skies. During the afternoon the weather will begin to worsen from the Alps towards the central-western flat areas in a patchy pattern. Snowfalls expected above 700 meters, but with decreasing altitudes. Variable light winds.
Center and Sardinia. The pressure increases a little again so the day will be characterized by a morning with the last showers or thunderstorms in Abruzzo and Molise (snowfall at 1200 metres), then it will improve rapidly here. In the afternoon the weather will be stable and mostly sunny in all regions. The winds will blow from the northern quadrants, seas generally not very rough.
South and Sicily. The weather is definitely improving in our regions, so while there may be some intermittent but light rainfall in the morning, the weather will be more stable in the afternoon. The sky will be irregularly cloudy, but over Sicily the cloudiness is expected to increase rapidly with overcast skies, then also in Calabria. The winds will always blow from the northern quadrants.
