The repression activity carried out by the Forestry Carabinieri against the phenomenon of fish poaching does not stop.
“This time the soldiers of the Carabinieri Forestry Group of Rovigo managed to intervene directly on the fishing site where they ascertained the use of at least 200 meters of trammel nets in a watercourse in the municipality of Bagnolo di Po. The soldiers on surveillance duty from the beginning of the fishing trip remained under observation until the conclusion of the operations, thus having the opportunity to ascertain that more subjects of Serbian origin used fishing tools that were not permitted and a greater number of fishing rods than permitted”.
“Professional fishermen were charged with sanctions for administrative violations pursuant to regional law 19/98 governed by regional regulation for fishing and aquaculture no. 1/2023, including failure to pay for sport fishing”.
“Considering the illicit conduct that continues to be detected, the repression services in this area will certainly be strengthened in the near future, also with the intervention of the Soarda – Anti-Poaching and Animal Crimes Operational Section (this is a specialized department of the Carabinieri Corps), where soldiers who are particularly specialized in containing the phenomenon operate”.
