Confagricoltura Donna Puglia: the presentation of the book ‘The great chefs in a recipe’ on Saturday in Castellaneta – From the Territory

Nine great chefs on a journey to valorise agricultural Made in Italy, from the territory to the tables: this is the meaning of the book “The great chefs in a recipe” which will be presented Saturday 20 April in Castellaneta (Ta). The chefs who collaborated on the Confagricoltura Donna project are: Cristina Bowerman, Laura Colajacovo, Anna Ghisolfi, Rosanna Marziale, Isa Mazzocchi, Valeria Raciti, Solly Tomasone (who will take part in the event), Viviana Varese and Francesca Vierucci.

Alessandra Oddi Baglioni, president of Confagricoltura Donna, will be present; Elisa Aquilano, president of Confagricoltura Donna Puglia; Luca Lazzaro, president of Confagricoltura Puglia; Beatrice Brizi director of Confagricoltura Puglia; Marina Colonna president of Confagricoltura Donna Molise; Luciana Ferrante past president of Fidapa south-east district; Clara Riccardi, member of the Confagricoltura Basilicata council.

The donations collected with the book will support the non-profit organization “Lives without fear”.

The book was presented on Wednesday 17 April at the Chamber of Deputies in the presence of the Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, Francesco Lollobrigida. “In a world where gastronomy is placed at the forefront – said the president of Confagricoltura Donna on that occasion – the beating heart behind every dish is too often forgotten: agriculture. We don’t want our sector to remain a faded ghost in the background. And this is the reason why the ‘Confagricoltura Donna meets the Great Chefs’ project was born, to enhance the close connection between agriculture and gastronomy. Nine great chefs will be our ambassadors on a journey to valorise agricultural Made in Italy, from the territory to the tables”.
