Campania Architecture Award 2024 to the Samnite Raimondo Consolante

The exhibition opens on Friday 03.05.2024 May of Architecture at the Early Christian Basilicas of Cimitile. A review of conferences, lessons, debates and exhibitions on architecture which is now in its seventeenth edition. Organized by the SiebenArchi Foundation, already awarded the Bruno Zevi prize for the diffusion of architectural culture by the National Institute of Architecture, the event benefits from the partnership of the Department of Architecture of the Federico II University of Naples and the patronage of the Campania Region.

This year the prestigious Campania Architettura 2024 award, for design and construction activity in the field of architecture, will for the first time go to an architect from the internal areas of the Campania Apennines, the Benevento Raimondo Consolante, author among other things of some important public architecture in the Sannite capital such as the Art School and the Music Hall in the Libertà district, recently included by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage in the census of modern architecture of national interest.

We will therefore start on May 3 with the special prize to the architect Ennio Passerelli and the reflection on the Casa dello Scugnizzo. It will continue on May 10th with the architect Davide Ruzzon – professor at the IUAV in Venice – with a focus of his research between architecture and neuroscience.

On May 17th, the professional work and her idea of ​​building within the built environment of the architect Antonella Mari, awarded a Special Mention at the XI Prix des Femmes Architectes in Paris, will be presented. On May 24th we will talk about Dance Body and Space with the architect and dancer Silvia Cassetta – teacher at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts; A round table on the New Regional Urban Planning Law is scheduled for May 25th with the involvement of authoritative representatives of the profession, politics, institutions and culture. At the end the Awards will be awarded: CampaniArchitettura_2024 to Raimondo Consolante, CultArchi_2024 to the French magazine Le Carrè Bleu Maggio dell’Architettura_annodiciassette which will be announced by the Jury on the same day

Raimondo Consolante

Architect, he was a member of the Ministerial Scientific Research Unit for the suburbs of Naples, Milan, Florence, Venice and Mestre. He works in the field of design, has created public and collective buildings, his projects have been exhibited in Barcelona, ​​Frankfurt, Naples and Rome.

He participates in national and international architecture competitions and in 2023 won the Ministry of Education competition for innovative schools. He recently designed the restoration of the Frediani Bar in Villa Comunale

He has published projects and writings for various publishing houses, directs the web letter Persico (of the Art of Architecture), taught at the Polytechnic of the Federico II University of Naples and the Higher School of Urban Planning.
