Few emotions at Barbera, Palermo and Parma draw 0-0 – BlogSicilia

The advance match of the 34th day of the Serie B championship between Palermo and Parma ends goalless and with little emotion. At the Renzo Barbera it is 0-0 between the Rosanero and the league leaders. The two teams were practically satisfied with the division of the stakes. The pre-match was more lively with the two sets of fans coming into contact.

The emotions on the pitch, however, are lacking. Especially in the first half. In the first half hour Francesco Di Marino was injured and replaced by Alessio Buttaro. Then Mancuso gives Chichizola shivers, the guests try with Di Chiara and Del Prato on whom Pigliacelli keeps good guard.

In the second half the ducals tried with more verve but without creating too many dangers. Few but imprecise flames and also the rosanero but in the end the contest ends solomonically without winners or losers.

It’s the third consecutive draw for Palermo. Michele Mignani has not yet tasted the joy of success. The Rosanero remain sixth and reach 52 points, maintaining sixth position, 7 points behind Brescia who receive Ternana and 8 points behind Sampdoria who are on stage in La Spezia for the Ligurian derby.

Parma, on the other hand, rises to 70 points but on Saturday 20 April Como playing at Feralpisalò can close the gap further.

Starting match blocked

The match was blocked between Palermo and Parma with the two teams stationed in midfield in the first few minutes without creating any major dangers. In the 20th minute Di Mariano tries an acrobatics but the ball flies very high in the corner.

Then after half an hour key and negative episodes: Di Mariano gets hurt in a game clash. The game stops for a few minutes. The Rosanero number 10 leaves on a stretcher and in pain. In his place Buttaro.

Mancuso dangerous

Two minutes later, the first real chance of the match. Lund is good at crossing from the left for Mancuso who comes sliding and with little coordination manages to impact the ball for a conclusion that puts Chichizola in difficulty, who does well to save with a low dive.

Parma responds twice

Parma’s response was not long in coming. In the 40th minute Di Chiara, from Palermo and former player, recovers a ball and tries a shot from the top of the area, with the ball deflected. Pigliacelli is good at extending himself and deflecting corner kicks.

A minute later the Rosanero goalkeeper is once again decisive this time on Del Prato who evades the offside position and shoots towards the goal from a tight angle. The Sicilians’ goalkeeper is positioned at the near post to cover and avoids worse trouble by punching away.

Then the referee grants three minutes of added time at the end of which the end of the first half is blown.

Pecchia plays the Charpentier card

At the start of the second half Pecchia changes and brings in Charpentier for Cyprien. And Parma is starting to be more present in the three-quarters of the pitch. Two interesting conclusions from Di Chiara and Mihaila between the 49th and 51st minutes but on both occasions the conclusion misses the target.

Brunori clears from a good position

In the 53rd minute Palermo would have the opportunity to take the lead: cross into the middle, aerial pass by Mancuso who frees Brunori at the edge of the small area, the Rosanero captain tries the acrobatics but clears the ball. And immediately afterwards, the same Rosanero number 9 misses the volley from close range.

Charmpentier thrill, Parma close to scoring

In the 67th minute, Parma came close to scoring with Charmpentier who cut into the rosanero area very well and completed a dangerous shot that went into the outside of the net

A minute later Parma makes their second substitution. Pecchia brings in Sohm for Mihaila

Mignani responds with a double substitution: Segre and Traorè for Henderson and Mancuso.

In the 71st minute Man tries from the edge of the near post with Pigliacelli who intervenes awkwardly in a corner kick. Palermo responds in the 76th minute with Buttaro who, however, clears the ball following an inviting cross from Di Francesco. Then Pecchia changes two other men: Hernani comes on in place of Benedyczak in the 79th minute and three minutes later Ansaldi for Man.

Mignani takes off Brunori in the 89th minute for Coulibaly. In the four minutes of injury time very little happens apart from a shot by Di Francesco which is weak and central. Easy to intervene for Chichizola.
