Caltanissetta. Isla Indoor Padel Club is organizing the 1st padel tournament from 9 to 12 May with a prize pool of 10,000 euros – Il Fatto Nisseno

The first federal padel tournament entitled “Isla Open Cup 2024” with a prize pool of 10,000 euros will take place from 9 to 12 May 2024 at the Isla Indoor Padel Club – Contrada Fontanelle snc – 93100 Caltanissetta.

The competition is organized by the same sports center that hosts it and with the aim of bringing the community closer to the sport of padel and of enhancing a moment that will be of national importance.

Valentina Agliata, president of the Isla Indoor Padel Club, states: “We are happy to be able to contribute to the spread and growth of this wonderful sport in Sicily and above all to be able to do it in our city”.

“Isla Open Cup 2024” is the first federal tournament that will currently be held in Sicily, in particular in Caltanissetta, with an economic prize of such high value and is the representation of a sport capable of offering well-being to both the body and the mind . Similar to tennis, padel today is gaining more and more support, so much so that it can be considered the sport of the moment. A trend, therefore, which is also good for the heart of society since it is an inclusive and convivial discipline precisely because the matches are played with four players. Padel can be practiced not only at a competitive level but also for pure pleasure, and it is precisely this last characteristic that allows enthusiastic and curious practitioners and enthusiasts to approach it.

The four days which will see Caltanissetta as the absolute protagonist of the padel sport will host the indoor tournament and there will be various scoreboards divided by category. We will start from the fourth category until we reach the final scoreboard of padel professionals; all matches will be played in two sets out of three to six games and during the days of the tournament the structure will also be open in the morning to allow participants to train and in the early afternoon the match dates will be set, which will be visible on social channels .

At the end of each day, themed event evenings are planned which will conclude with the last day of awards.
