The Flag Throwers and Musicians of Foligno return to cross national borders. For the second time in the space of six months, the group stopped in Spain. After having participated last October in the “Mercado Cervantino” of Alcalà de Henares, in fact, the formation made up of 7 musicians and 5 flag-wavers reached the autonomous region of Castilla-La Mancha to take part in one of the most important historical festivals of the Iberian country .

The trip was held from 12 to 14 April last, for three days dedicated to the flag, the drum and the clarion, which gave the young people from Foligno the opportunity to perform in front of an audience of over 40 thousand tourists from all over Europe . Flag games, period music and public involvement were the key elements of the success achieved by the association, which was also invited to participate in next year’s edition.

In Castilla-La Mancha, young people from Foligno performed alongside jugglers and stilt walkers. To make the Spanish trip even more special, the fact that the tourists themselves wore period clothing, making the historical experience to which the local architecture also contributed even more alive. Having returned home, the Foligno Flag Waving and Musicians Group is now preparing for the next trip, which will very soon see it as the protagonist of a new trip across the border.
