«We need the coordinates for the relationship with the children»

MACERATA Nine meetings divided into three different themes in three neighborhoods of the capital. These are the numbers of the second edition of School for parents, the project conceived and promoted by the Municipality of Macerata and coordinated by the Il Faro social cooperative which in this new edition also sees the participation of Municipalities of the social territorial area 15. The common thread is support for parenting skills and activation of an educational community, a series of meetings in different neighborhoods of the city, with experts and psychologists, to offer parents, teachers and educators information aimed at developing facilitation skills to generate well-being in the parent-parent relationship son.

The meetings

The meetings will see the participation of the two operators of the free “Family at the centre” service, dedicated to families and young people, Federica Milluch and Stefania Carluccio, the university professors Alessandra Fermani and Massimiliano Stramaglia, the pediatrician Mirella Staffolani and the psychologist Paolo Scapellato. «After the success of the first edition of this project, with the presence of 50-80 people per evening at the meetings – underlined the municipal councilor for Social Policies, Francesca D’Alessandro – we wanted to propose it again by touching neighborhoods other than those where we had been in the past. The message behind this initiative is that parents need coordination, to have effective tools with the aim of being of help with the many problems relating to the relationship between children and parents and considering that, today, families need to be supported in situations linked to an increasingly complex and articulated daily life with ever new demands. The novelty of this edition of Schools for parents also lies in the participation of Ats 15″. The meetings, based on three different themes, will begin on Monday, with “I am a parent. I learn to know myself” at the Santa Madre Di Dio parish, an initiative that will be repeated on 7 and 8 May in the Immacolata and Villa Potenza parishes respectively. On May 20th it will be the turn of “I listen. Communication techniques and tools” at the Santa Madre Di Dio parish and then on the 21st at the Immacolata and on the 22nd at Villa Potenza. Last step from May 27th in the parish of Santa Madre Di Dio with “I get angry. Learning to manage conflicts to make them constructive”, a meeting which will be held again on 28 and 29 May at the Immacolata and Villa Potenza respectively. The meetings will start at 9pm and end at 10.30pm.
