In recent days, the definitive program of the event was presented at Palazzo San Bernardino. This event enjoys the patronage of the Lazio Region, takes place with the collaboration of the Municipality of Tivoli and the Tivoli Carabinieri Company, and is also included among the celebratory initiatives of the 3239th Christmas of Tivoli. The gathering will involve members and supporters of the Association, as well as the Volunteers of the ANC, Lazio, Tuscany, Umbria, Marche, Abruzzo, Molise and Campania and will be a moment of meeting and sharing but also the opportunity to celebrate Volunteering in the its many guises, and the respective activities implemented to support citizens.
April 20th
It starts on Saturday morning with the inauguration, in the headquarters of the Convitto Nazionale “A. Di Savoia” and the “Uniforms and modeling” exhibition organized by the ANC Section of Fiumicino. In front of the Convitto there will be some historic Carabinieri cars. In the Estensi Stables, however, the exhibition of historical radios in use by the Carabinieri will be set up by COTA and there will be a Philately Table with the folder and postmark dedicated to the Gathering. They will be open to visitors from Saturday 20th to Tuesday 23rd April from 9am to 6pm. On Saturday afternoon at 3.30pm demonstration of civil protection activities and ANC dog units, at 4pm, instead, in Piazza Massimo, deposition of a wreath at the Carabinieri Fallen Monument.
On Saturday there will also be two shows at the Giuseppetti Theater: at 10.30 the awards ceremony for the Tiburtino competition on legality. The GOV collaborates with the ANC Culture Group for the organization of the Tiburtino competition in middle schools on topics related to legality.
This year the 15th edition of the competition, coinciding with the 2024 interregional gathering, had as its theme “The figure of the Carabiniere of yesterday and today”. Two sessions are planned: one literary and one musical. In addition to the award ceremony for the winning participants of the two sessions, there will be a musical show, where, in addition to the performances of the three winning groups of the musical session, there will be a concert by the orchestra of the Baccelli Middle School directed by Professor Biagini. At 6.00 pm Concert by the Carabinieri Legion Fanfare conducted by Maestro Lgt Danilo Di Silvestro.
The fanfare will alternate songs from the military tradition with pieces of classical music. But it won’t just be the fanfare performing. The presence of the Operapop duo (Francesca Carli soprano and Enrico Giovagnoli tenor), the singer Beba and the tenor Roberto Lenoci is expected. For both shows, entry is by invitation (those interested can contact the ANC Section of Tivoli in Largo Salvo D’Acquisto) until seats last.
April 21st
As early as 8:00 on Sunday morning the rallies from Prove will lead to the Bleso Amphitheater, from where, after the religious function, the parade will begin. At 9.15am in the Garibaldi Gardens there will be honors to the Highest Authority present, the flag raising and the laying of a wreath at the war memorial. At 10:00 there will be Holy Mass followed by the start of the parade. It will start from the Bleso Amphitheater, then traveling along Via Aldo Moro, Via Inversata, Via Colsereno, Via del Trevio, Piazza Santa Croce, Via Vincenzo Pacifici and Piazza Garibaldi. Accompanied by the notes of the Fanfare, the members, deserving women and volunteers will parade for each participating section, with the Banners of the Municipalities and any Medalists.
The order of parade foresees that the sections of the neighboring regions will parade first, followed by Lazio whose “block” will open with a historical procession (with horses and period uniforms) of the Fiumicino section. After the sections of Lazio there will be a blockade by the Civil Protection with canines and emergency vehicles; the latter, descending from Via Aldo Moro, will pass under the Arco di Pomodoro, in front of Palco located on the left after the Arch, and continue along the Panoramica. The historic cars will depart from Via della Missione. The Triumphal section will conclude the parade with a grouping on horseback.
