Lega Molise, Casanova: “Too many goodbyes, Marone explain what is happening”

TERMOLI – The Molise League is going through a turbulent period, with a series of resignations raising questions about the party’s future in the region. The League MEP, Massimo Casanova, expressed concern following the departure of Annibale Ciarniello, president of the Termoli municipal council, underlining that this episode is only the latest in a series of departures that have affected the party:

“The departure from the party of the president of the municipal council of Termoli, Annibale Ciarniello, is only the latest escape from the Molise League in chronological order. The time has come for regional commissioner Michele Marone to explain to the people, to the people of the League, to the community of Molise and the city of Termoli, the reason for all these farewells. It is not possible that people who have embraced the political project of the League and who have fought for it, representing its values ​​and objectives and receiving its trust and consensus, decide, at a certain point, to throw in the towel. The regional manager has the duty to clarify.

The mandate of the federal secretary for the territories is to build and manage a party that is inclusive, present and rooted. Objectives that are difficult to achieve in this way. We need to understand what the reasons behind the farewells are, whether of a personal nature, and in that case we can only raise our hands, or rather of a political-managerial nature: in this case we have the duty to carry out an overhaul of the machine.

It’s unfortunate because these are important farewells, which undermine the image of the League and take away pieces of consensus and trust. Unless they want to compensate with that consensus that the commissioner himself should certainly have developed, having held over the years, and still holds, the role of unelected regional councilor, and who, finally and personally running for office in the territory , could lead to the party’s cause”.
