The students ofThe Giacomo Leopardi Comprehensive Institute of Potenza was present today at the school of peace meeting with Pope Francis in the Paolo Sesto hall.

We learn this from a press release which explains:

“Our institute has joined the national peace schools program since 2014 and this year our commitment was rewarded with the active participation of the children who on the stage of the Paul VI Hall were able to tell their story and how they want to learn to make peace.

We have chosen to walk in the footsteps of Saint Francis and be inspired to move from I to we, from saying to doing, to take care together of our world tormented by wars and violence.

The Holy Father addressed us words of comfort and encouragement, he reminded us that to face the challenges of our time, to work on the construction site of the future we must live responsibly, sowing seeds of peace day by day.

Children carry this great dream in their hearts: to transform the future for peace with care, therefore the call to be protagonists not spectators, to create a network for the common good.

A collective dream for a constant commitment that requires peace and care, which sees us all as builders of the future so that smiles return to the lips of all children.

We return home full of joy with the hope of being able to infect those who were unable to be with us in Rome today“.
