CHANGES TO THE ROAD FOR “MODENA RUNNING WITH THE ACADEMY” — Modena Municipality Press Office website

On the occasion of the “Modena running with the Academy” running event, scheduled Sunday 21 April from 9.30am, some changes to the city’s road system are expected.

To allow the initiative to take place, a non-competitive event now in its 28th edition, organized by the Military Academy with the patronage of the municipal administration and of Coni Emilia-Romagna and the Municipality, in collaboration with Bper Banca and with the technical support of La Fratellanza sports club and Asd Impero sports association, road traffic is suspended along the planned route: Piazza Roma, Largo San Giorgio, Via Farini, Via Emilia Centro, Largo Porta Bologna, Viale Martiri Libertà, Viale Rimembranze, Piazzale Risorgimento, Viale Vittorio Veneto , largo Moro, via Emilia Ovest, viale Italia, city park of Londrina, Enzo Ferrari park, via Emilia Ovest, viale Emilia Centro, via Ganaceto, viale Monte Kosica, via della Manifattura Tabacchi, calle Bondesano, corso Vittorio Emanuele II, piazzale Basile d’Aleo, Courtyard of Honor of the Military Academy, Piazza Roma.

Vehicle transit is permitted on the preferential lanes intended for the circulation of buses and taxis on Viale Vittorio Veneto and Viale Molza. Furthermore, lanes accessible to vehicles will be created on Largo Moro for vehicles coming from Viale Tassoni in the direction of Viale Barozzi and in Via Rainusso for vehicles towards viale Barozzi.

Local public transport may also undergo route changes which will be communicated on the website of the local public transport company (www.setaweb.it, tel. 840000216). Finally, in Corso Cavour, from 7am to 1pm, parking near the intersection with Corso Canalgrande is prohibited, except for authorized vehicles.

The running race includes two routes, one of 4 kilometers and the other of 10 kilometres, it is already possible to register at the Military Academy or directly Sunday 21 April in Piazza Roma at the event secretariat. To participate there is a registration fee of 3 euros and the proceeds from the registrations will be entirely donated to the AIL Modena Odv Association. Upon registration you will be given a t-shirt to wear during the race.
