THE EAGLE. Controls by the Fiamme Gialle, with the indispensable support of the anti-drug canine units, in the busiest streets of the city center and in the most sensitive areas of the city. On Tuesday afternoon, the financiers of the local group raided in particular the area of the Collemaggio bus terminal and the Castle Park: approximately 30 grams of hashish were seized from two non-EU minors.
In one operation, a Tunisian minor, who was standing on the benches in the Castle Park, was subjected to control and, upon seeing the soldiers, he made a hasty escape through the streets of the city center, disposing of a package found to contain approximately 27 grams of hashish divided into several doses. The soldiers, however, managed to reach the fugitive and recover the package containing the narcotic substance that the non-EU citizen had gotten rid of during his escape. The minor was reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Juvenile Court for the crime of possession for the purpose of dealing drugs.
During checks at the Collemaggio bus terminal, a joint was seized from the possession of another minor of Tunisian origin, who was reported to the Prefecture as a drug user.
We read in a note: “The anti-drug activities were conducted following the intensification ordered by the local Prefecture, within the broader framework of urban security, through the prevention of widespread and predatory crime phenomena, through local services and interventions which concern , in particular, the most degraded areas”.
