Fratelli d’Italia hits a new negative record. The prime minister’s party is still at the top of the political spectrum but continues to lose ground – two tenths in the last two weeks alone – and now in the Agi/Youtrend Supermedia it is credited with 27.2% of the votes: this is the lowest point since the government led by took office Giorgia Melonia far cry from the peaks above 30% recorded at the end of 2022 and just over a year ago, when – in March 2023 – FdI was at 30.4%.

Forza Italia, however, is still growing, having now become the second force of the majority: on the eve of the national council, in which the candidacy of Antonio Tajani at the European Championships, the Azzurri gain another three tenths, rising to 8.5% and leading the League which remains stable at 8.2%.

Fifteen days after the first detection, however, worrying signs are arriving Emma Bonino And Matteo Renzi, because their common United States of Europe list actually loses one percentage point and from the 5.7% recorded close to the launch it plummets to 4.7%, with the barrier threshold for Brussels no longer far away at this point. Further investigations will be needed to understand whether these are aftershocks or a potential rejection of the alliance by the electorate. Instead, they gain two tenths each, but remain – slightly – below the target of 4%, both Avs (now at 3.9%) and Azione (3.7%).

The Agi/Youtrend Supermedia is developed on the basis of a weighted average of national polls on voting intentions. The comparison is carried out on the Supermedia data released two weeks previously. Today’s weighting, which includes surveys carried out from 4 to 17 April, was carried out on 18 April on the basis of the sample size, the date of implementation and the data collection method. The surveys considered were carried out by the Demopolis institutes (date of publication: 9 April), EMG (5 April), Eumetra (11 April), Euromedia (9 April), Ixè (12 April), Piepoli (11 April), Quorum (15 April), SWG (8 and 15 April) and Tecnè (6 and 13 April). The detailed methodological note of each survey considered is available on the official website www.sondaggipoliticoelettorali.it.
