Who has never dreamed of walking through the doors of a castle and discovering its most hidden secrets? Sunday April 21stThe Moncalieri Castleone of the most beautiful jewels of Piedmont and heritage UNESCOwill open its doors for one secret visit to discover some spaces usually inaccessible to the public.
The initiative, promoted byFriends of the Royal Castle Association and the Moncalieri Park, offers a guided tour that will allow you to explore the royal apartments and admire the splendid rooms of theNew Apartmentwanted by Victor Emmanuel II, or even the more intimate rooms, intended for the Princes, where you will have the opportunity to access the office of the Commander of the 1st “Piemonte” Carabinieri Regiment. A journey immersed in frescoes, chandeliers and overdoors, which tell centuries and stories of power and tradition.
At the end of the excursion between the various parts of the Castle, visitors will have the opportunity to go back in time also through taste, because they will be able to taste a selection of spirits of the nineteenth centuryin particular of Vermouth, in the company of the re-enactors of “Le Vie del Tempo”.
The opportunity to participate in these special visits to the Moncalieri Castle will also be guaranteed for May 26th and for the June 23with different time slots available to meet all needs.
