“It is a source of pride for us to bring, during the inaugural event of Edil 2024, this round table in collaboration with the very prestigious The European House – Ambrosetti, which we had already had the privilege of hosting, for the first time in our headquarters, the 11 October 2022 during a meeting on the generational transition in small businesses – comments the president Giacinto Giambellini –. The theme of Construction 5.0 and “Intelligent Buildings”, which we will discuss, also represents a great opportunity for Bergamo craftsmanship in the home sector (which, let’s not forget, has always expressed important numbers for the economy of our territory , for its sustainability and for employment). Confartigianato Imprese Bergamo, therefore, could only be involved, given the issues that it has been addressing for some time to help its businesses to be competitive and establish themselves on a rapidly changing market: issues such as energy efficiency, home automation and digitalisation, which are at the center of the transformation underway in the construction sector. The objective is therefore to identify how these changes will impact artisan businesses in the home system, to highlight opportunities and critical issues, and then start a discussion with political decision makers, so that economic policies are adopted at local, regional and national level that promote the growth and development of the sector. In this sense, I am convinced that the round table scheduled during Edil 2024 will represent not only a fruitful moment of discussion with our artisan businesses, but above all a precious opportunity to open a constructive dialogue with representatives of the institutions on the key themes of the future construction to the benefit of the entire economic system of Bergamo”.
