TRIESTE The Trieste State Police arrested in recent days in the Viale D’Annunzio area a 46-year-old Albanian citizen and a 21-year-old Italian citizen, both domiciled in Trieste, for the crime of drug trafficking.
It all started during a service focused in particular on a bar in Viale D’Annunzio and on the homes of the bar owner and his partner’s son: the Police Headquarters obtained two personal and local search decrees against them.
In the cellar of the Albanian citizen, in Largo Mioni, a package containing cocaine with a gross weight of 674.39 grams was found and seized. Further small quantities were also found on the car (4.17 grams) and on his partner (0.92 grams), as well as the mother of the other arrested man.
At the latter’s home, the investigators found themselves faced with a safe for which the owner declared he did not know the code. Removed and taken to the Fire Brigade, it was then opened and a large quantity of drugs was found inside, divided into several wrappers – for a total of approximately 100 grams of cocaine, 240 Ecstasy tablets, 90 grams of hashish and others. 225 grams of still undefined substance – in addition to almost 3,400 euros in cash.
All the illicit substances found and the money were seized, while the two were arrested in flagrante delicto and taken to prison.
