19/04/2024 – The “Solidarity Walk” event that the Lions Club Pesaro Host organized with the Percorso Donna APS association of Pesaro was presented and will be held on Sunday 21 April 2024 in Pesaro in Piazzale della Libertà starting from 10:00.
“The collaboration with Percorso Donna has a profound meaning for us at the Lions Club Pesaro Host. We joined their projects because we believe that this cultural revolution can and should be possible” declared Maria Paola Giorgio – GST Lions Club Pesaro Host and organizer of the Walk who continued by saying that “the feminicide data are unfortunately still appalling and we hope that, starting from an initiative as light as a walk, we can involve and raise awareness of as many people as possible to hope that one day these data will be Zero!”.
“We place great value on the collaboration with Lions Club Pesaro Host because we strongly believe in networking to combat the deplorable phenomenon of gender violence. For this reason we did not hesitate to include the Walk on Sunday 21 April as a spin off of the Percorsi Festival, the sixth edition of which will be held from 8 to 12 May with a very rich programme” declares Elisabetta Furlani, director of the Percorsi Festival.
The meeting is on Sunday 21 April at 10:00 in Piazzale della Libertà in Pesaro (Palla di Pomodoro) for registrations. Departure is scheduled for 10.30 am from Palla di Pomodoro towards Fano. There will be 2 routes: the first, a little gentler, which from Palla di Pomodoro will reach Bagni Gelsi and the other, for the more sporty, which will reach the Chalet – after the free beach – and then return to the square of Freedom. The event is open to all citizens and there will be a banquet set up by the Lions Club Pesaro Host and Leo Club together with the volunteers of Percorso Donna, where you can find the association’s gadgets and bags made available, in memory of the event, which will be distributed with a minimum contribution of €5.
