LAWN. The League’s electoral lottery has a winner. His name is Carlo Andrea Pozzi, he is 55 years old and is perhaps the first candidate in the municipal elections chosen by competition. The lottery in question, launched a few days ago by the Prato League, is called “Propose and win” and offered a place on the list to anyone who presented a proposal deemed useful and in line with the party’s principles. It was enough to send it on Facebook or by email to the League.

«His innovative and well-structured proposal – explains a press release from the League – stood out among numerous ideas, some interesting, demonstrating a clear commitment to the improvement of the community. After a fruitful conversation with our members, he decided not only to run as an independent, but also to join the League, fully sharing the values and objectives that characterize its action.”

Carlo Andrea Pozzi has lived in the historic center of Prato since 2003. A professional in the field of education, passionate about vintage cars and skiing, despite the vagaries of the snow, he is married and has no children.

The winning proposal concerns the introduction of a “Resident Card”, at an annual cost to be evaluated in detail, which will allow free access to museums, to visit temporary exhibitions with a 50% reduction, always a 50% discount of municipal parking rates, free parking on Sundays and free parking in the area of residence.

Regarding his participation, the candidate declared: «The truth is that I was calmly sitting on the sofa when I saw the League’s post on Facebook and responded. I didn’t imagine that this spontaneous decision would lead to this.”

«We are proud to welcome Carlo Andrea Pozzi into our ranks and we enthusiastically anticipate his contribution, confident that his commitment and his vision will provide significant and positive contributions for our community» commented the provincial secretary Daniele Spada who, as public official, saw the new candidate sign the acceptance of the candidacy.

«Thanks to all those who participated in the “Propose and Win”. Every idea counts and represents an important piece in building a better city – concluded Spada – Congratulations again to Carlo, and we wish him a future full of successes in his new political role».
