Animal Talk Italia: talking to animals is possible

Modena, Emilia Romagna – Who wouldn’t want to talk to their dog or cat? How many times do we say “he just lacks the word”, when we think of our quadruped friends? And how many times do we get lost in their infinite eyes while we observe them and feel that they know, they know much more than us, but we don’t understand them? And again: what would happen if the world heard the voices of animals locked in intensive farming, hunted and massacred by whalers and poachers, exterminated by trawl nets, building interventions and “intensive management” of forests?

I’ve always wondered this and millions of people like me. In recent years I have followed a path as a dog educator and I discovered that in reality dogs – but other animals more generally – really do talk to us. We are the ones who don’t understand their language. They learn hundreds of human words, they know how to read our facial expressions, our body language, our pheromones, our moods. We don’t even understand the wagging of tails well… Yet, by studying we can learn to understand them. And if we want, perhaps, we can even communicate with them in a profound, empathetic, intuitive way. I talked about it with Andrea Contri, founder of Animal Talk.

Before reporting our chat to you, I’ll start from what I find written on Andrea’s website: “Intuitive communication is a very ancient technique, still present in the traditions of all those populations who still live in close contact with nature. We are all capable of communicating with animals; and it is thanks to the sharing of unconditional love between us and animals that it is possible to come into contact with them. Animals constantly communicate with us, they perceive our intentions, emotions, and the thoughts underlying our words. It is possible to re-establish this connection thanks to respect for animals and nature and the awareness that we too, as human beings, belong to this magnificent world.”

It’s still: “Intuitive Communication is a return to the origins, to the awareness of the simplicity of the language of Nature and of the whole Universe. It means observing common things with a new, curious look, outside the traditional mold.” So watch our video interview and then we continue with the story.

TALK TO GIRAFFES AND LIONS

I am naturally skeptical and at the same time very open-minded. I grew up among “strange phenomena” and yet I always keep my antennas raised when I hear about unconventional things. When Andrea tells me that he talks to giraffes, lions, Japanese birds or a fish, part of me remains skeptical. Yet, at the same time, I feel that there is a lot of truth in his story and even more in the dozens of people I was able to personally interview and who told me how – through the meeting with Andrea – they were able to communicate with this or that animal discovering things that he couldn’t possibly know.

It all started – for Andrea – with an encounter he had in South Africa with the white lions. Andrea was there, in a study center, and had a sort of mystical encounter, based on unconditional love. He was in the car, he closed his eyes, he began to transmit love passing from his mind to his heart and when he opened his eyes the lion was “next to him”. This experience changed his life. Andrea then studied the technique in Italy, England and elsewhere and began to listen. Over time he understood that by learning to listen to other animals he was actually starting a great journey within himself, thus starting a journey of personal growth.

AN IN-COMPREHENSIBLE PHENOMENON

«The difficulties I encountered on this path were dictated by the resistance posed by the mind» Andrea explains to me. «What I experience and what I spread today is an incomprehensible phenomenon in the double sense of the term: it is not easily understood if we use our mind but at the same time it is understandable within us – IN, “inwardly” – because the answer is within ».

Prompted by my questions, Andrea tries to explain to me how this communication occurs, which is in some way also a translation from one communication system to another. «It’s a bit like observing a rainbow: each of us will see something different. Some the complex system, some the individual colors, some the light/dark. Each of us deciphers the same information in his own way. For this reason, intuitive communication is something that starts from animals but which each of us will then translate in our own way. This becomes evident when I work in groups, in face-to-face courses or in webinars.”

COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR ANIMAL

Andrea also organizes individual meetings where you can communicate with your animal. This communication can take place with the animal in presence or even through a photo. Andrea knows nothing about that animal – or that first person – before the meeting. And the thing that always strikes everyone is that after a while “the animal on duty” reveals information to Andrea that he could never know. This experience is also confirmed by Andrea’s students who learn to communicate with the animals of other classmates, with questions asked specifically to check if the communication is really taking place. Often the animal becomes an “excuse” to then address important issues for the lives of the humans involved.

LISTEN TO THEIR MESSAGES AND UNDERSTAND YOURSELF

In Andrea’s book – Intuitive communication with animals – the subtitle is “Listen to their messages and understand yourself” and this is a point that is particularly close to Andrea’s heart. «Often the messages that arrive from animals become an opportunity for growth for both humans and non-humans. From the messages that arrive, I understand that behind it there is a much greater journey than I could have imagined, which leads us to rediscover a side of ourselves that perhaps we don’t consider, which becomes an opportunity for stupendous growth.”

THE MOST CURIOUS DIALOGUES WITH ANIMALS (AND WITH PLANTS!)

In ten years of meetings Andrea has communicated with hundreds of animals. In the video above he tells us some of the most “particular” experiences. For example, the dialogue we had with a canary from Tokyo or with a bear, but also with a tree… I recommend listening and watching it to get concrete evidence of what we are talking about here.

ANIMAL TALK: A PATH THAT BEGAN TEN YEARS AGO, OR BETWEEN JUST STARTED!

A few months ago Animal Talk celebrated its tenth anniversary and we were there! We interviewed dozens of people who had the opportunity to experience intuitive communication and its effectiveness first-hand. We asked Andrea what he expects from the future: «After ten years, what I see is a path in which each of us in our own small way must try to give the best of ourselves every day, trying to ensure that my experience is of benefit to others too.”
