Trentino stands together against mafia infiltration: the conference yesterday

In Depero room the conference was held yesterday afternoon “Risk of infiltration of organized crime in Trentino: counteractions”organized by the Province, the Government Commissariat and the Council of Autonomies with the patronage of the Provincial Council.

The president of Cal recalled that in the protocol the municipalities and mayors have a role above all as sentinels because they can keep an eye on the situation of the community economy.

Furthermore, the municipalities in the Pnrr have great responsibilities and this is what is needed staff training to control risks. But the point, you underlined, is to create healthy communities because they have the antibodies to fight crime. Finally, the president of Cal stated that he must increase trust in the institutions through good example.

The Prosecutor Captor Sandro Raimondi (in the photo together with the prefect Santarelli) recalled that the problem of the protocols is concreteness. The Prosecutor has reported an international investigation into a recycling system of a group of Colombian narcos who gave excellent results precisely because there was collaboration between the Guardia di Finanza, local banks, but also thanks to Trentino Digitaland, which developed software to report suspicious transactions.

For the Prosecutor, the front of the investigation is important cyber security and added that the results of important investigations will be released in the coming months.

The president of Pat he said that due to its vocation our community might feel extraneous to certain risks but having established the protocols means paying attention to prevention also because the level of economic growth is high and major works are in the pipeline from the new hospital to the bypass.

The Prime Minister he concluded by stating that with regards to crime there are two levels: street safety and the less visible one of the mafias which can infiltrate and weaken the economic system. So the protocols and institutional collaboration are good.
