The first National Prevention Day in Agrigento – SiciliaTv.org

In Agrigento, on Saturday 20 April, the first edition of the “National Prevention Day” will take place, promoted by the Fadoi Foundation (Federation of Associations of Internist Hospital Managers) and by Animo (National Association of Hospital Medicine Nurses) respectively represented by the regional presidents, Giuseppe Lo Faro and Mariella Di Grigoli.

From 10am to 5pm, in Piazza Cavour, the doctors and nurses of Fadoi and Animo will carry out free screening, without the need for a reservation, in order to raise awareness among citizens of the culture of prevention against the onset of the most frequent chronic diseases such as arterial hypertension, diabetes, obesity, heart failure and chronic bronchitis.

The Municipality of Agrigento, through sponsorship, also joined the initiative. And the mayor, Francesco Miccichè comments.

“We immediately welcomed and shared the initiative of the doctors and nurses of Fadoi and Animo, whom I thank for the precious contribution offered to the citizens of Agrigento. As mayor and as a doctor I believe that prevention, through essential measures such as screening and vaccines, as well as a healthy lifestyle, is essential to avoid the risk of incurring serious diseases and therefore protect one’s health”.
