With the completion of the customs authorizations obtained for terminal 3 of Pratolino, in the municipality of Sarzana, Laghezza has reached a total of 25,000 m2 of its own covered customs warehouses, numbers which confirm its centrality as the operator of the La Spezia rear port. The group itself reports this in a note, recalling that its customs warehouses, “equipped for all types of goods and connected to the port by a customs corridor”, allow it to develop import traffic with container emptying, foreign storage, customs clearance and subsequent transport/distribution. The authorizations obtained also allow the management of products subject to excise duties, food products, products intended for animal feed.

In the same way, he continues, the warehouses and surrounding logistics areas, for a total of 100,000 square metres, act as hubs for export traffic with management of consolidated/groupage shipments, storage of full containers awaiting boarding and management of exceptional loads.

Commenting on the goal achieved, the president of the group Alessandro Laghezza recalled that he believed in the development of logistics in La Spezia, as a “fundamental strategic asset” to make the port even more attractive. “The current leadership position – he added – allows us to look to the future with serenity and confidence, also evaluating new areas and development opportunities”.
