Finally, the New San Sperato Primary School of the IC San Sperato – Cardeto in Reggio Calabria will also be equipped with a defibrillator.
The official delivery took place in recent days by the President of the Kiwanis Club Reghion 2007, Ivano Montalbano, in the hands of the head office representative, Carmen Crupi, in the presence of the Vicar, Antonio Megale, representing the school director, Carmen Lucisano. As a demonstration of effective team play, the presence of the President of the Institute Council, Carmelo Crucitti and the representatives of the parents of each class, Grazia Mune, Mary Vinci, Massimo Canale and Catia Altomonte together with the club service secretary, Anna Maria Reggio. The need, strongly represented by DS Lucisano, to equip the school complex with a life-saving health facility, which can also be a reference for the territory, was combined with the Kiwanian aims and the sensitivity of the members of Reghion 2007 who promoted initiatives of targeted fundraising, to which the students of the school themselves also contributed, as a sign of co-responsibility and solidarity given that part of the proceeds were allocated to the local service and part to the district service We care about Kids, in collaboration with Unicef Italia, for the purchase of the leading vaccines for the world’s needy children.
Welcomed by the Mameli anthem sung “at the top of the note” by the students of the New San Sperato Primary, guided by their teachers, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm mixed with concreteness, we strongly felt the spirit of cohesion which is the true strength of this school, as President Montalbano well underlined. We found ourselves inside a cutting-edge school, where we can breathe, in all its components, humility and greatness in the exercise of the didactic-educational function of an educational institution open to the territory.
