Ferrara Cameristica in the Town Hall foyer

The experience, inaugurated last year, of collaboration between the ensemble and chamber music classes of the Girolamo Frescobaldi Conservatory of Ferrara and the Francesco Venezze Conservatory of Rovigo continues, strengthened both by the agreement between the two institutions and by the links real created among their teachers and students. The spring offering of fifteen concerts, ten of which are scheduled in the Marco Tamburini Auditorium in Rovigo as part of the event “The Kammermusik Spring Concerts” and five in Ferrara under the name of “Ferrara Chamber Music” it allows a wide musical range from the baroque epic to the contaminations between cultured and popular repertoires of the 20th century, passing through the great seasons of chamber music of the 18th and 19th centuries. In Ferrara the concerts are hosted in important historical and cultural venues of the city including the Ridotto of the Teatro Comunale.

Saturday 20 April at 3.30pm at the Ridotto of the Teatro Comunale the students of the chamber music classes of the Conservatories of Ferrara and Rovigo will present a concert dedicated to the classical forms of the repertoire of the first part of the nineteenth century: the Serenade op. 25 by Beethoven for flute, violin and viola is a tribute to the recently concluded 18th century: simple and reduced forms come to life in it, with great brilliance and rhythmic playfulness, together with intense cantabile moments, in which all the instruments participate in crystalline concerted balance; the Ries Quartet, Beethoven’s disciple, adds the cello to the ensemble and develops the form in a decidedly classical direction. Brahms’ first duo work, the Sonata op. 38 dedicated to the cello, has an even greater density due to its instrumental weight and fullness of content, not only rich in romantic pathos but also in tension derived from the contrapuntal intertwinings of Bach’s origin, as in the final movement in fugal form.

Performing the program are Isabella Lozzi flute, Ilaria Scopigno violin, Wang Zitao viola, Isabella Lozzi flute, Tecla Benedetto cello, Luca Dondi cello, Pietro Vaccari piano.

For this reason we ask those who read us every day and, we hope, appreciate us to give us a small contribution based on their possibilities. Even a small amount of support, multiplied by the tens of thousands of Ferrarese who read us every day, can become fundamental.
