The Foggia lawyer Fedele Cannerozzi is a candidate in the elections for the renewal of the European Parliament on the ‘Green Left Alliance – Avs’ list in the Southern Constituency which includes Puglia, Abruzzo, Molise, Campania, Basilicata and Calabria.
The national president of SI and former president of the Puglia Region, Nichi Vendola, presented the candidacies in Sinistra Italiana Puglia at a press conference in Bari.
“I accepted the invitation of the party in which I have always been a member, to represent, in the European Parliament, a political force that has always, consistently and without hesitation, in Italy and in the territories, worked and works for rights (civil, social and environmental), for Work and for Peace”said Cannerozzi, who in the past also held the role of president of the Foggia Fair Authority.
The leader of the Italian Left for the Southern Constituency is Anna Grazia Maraschio, former Environment Councilor of the Puglia Region, ‘fired’ a few days ago by Michele Emiliano.
“I don’t deny that I was hesitant at first, perhaps still stunned by the events of the Apulian regional council – commented –. But the enthusiasm of the people of Puglia was decisive, the wave of esteem and solidarity, the hundreds of messages with two words sealed: go ahead. So I decided to really move forward, to continue this path of active politics.”
