The first direct flight from Rome Fiumicino to Brest, the historic north-western city of France, which can be reached twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, took off today.

With a total offer of over 20,000 seats for sale, Volotea expands its portfolio of destinations available from the Roman airport and strengthens its presence in Leonardo da Vinci airport, helping to support the flow of incoming tourists, eager to discover the Eternal City . By 2024 there are 8 cities connected by Volotea from the Roman airport: 1 in Italy (Olbia), 6 in France (Bordeaux, Brest-new 2024, Lille, Lourdes/Tarbes, Nantes and Strasbourg) and 1 in Spain (Bilbao).

From next November 8th it will also be possible to fly from Ancona to Barcelona. The new route includes two frequencies per week, on Mondays and Fridays, and an offer of more than 9,000 seats for sale.

With this direct connection to Spain, Volotea expands its offer for 2024 in the Marche airport, with 7 destinations available and a total offer of over 170,000 seats on sale.

From next autumn, thanks to Volotea it will be possible to reach Barcelona with direct flights – commented Valeria Rebasti, international market director of Volotea – We are very happy to enrich our proposal, helping to generate new tourist flows and making the city of Ancona and the entire local area increasingly connected with the main European destinations. In fact, in addition to this new route, the connection to Athens is ready to officially take off from next June”.

Great satisfaction was also expressed by the CEO of Ancona airport Alexander D’Orsogna: “The partnership with Volotea is becoming ever deeper and we are very pleased to welcome the two new destinations planned by the Spanish carrier on the Doric airport for the year 2024. After the great success of the first international route launched by Volotea last May, namely Paris Orly , from June 2024 it will be the turn of the start of flights to Athens and, from the next winter season, connections to Barcelona, one of the most requested destinations in the catchment area of Ancona airport”.

For 2024 they are 7 connections available from Ancona: 4 in Italy (Cagliari, Catania, Olbia and Palermo), 1 in Greece (Athens – New 2024), 1 in France (Paris Orly) e 1 in Spain (Barcelona – New 2024).
