Don Milani among his students in Barbiana
From “Letter to a teacher” to “Obedience is no longer a virtue”. The spiritual and educational testimony of Don Lorenzo Milani, founder of the Barbiana community at the service of young people, never ceases to shine over time.
Three meetings scheduled for May at 9pm in the parish auditorium of Burago will shed the spotlight on the lesson he left.
We will begin Thursday 2 with the theme “the current affairs of Don Milani”.
The evening will start from a famous phrase of the priest: “there is nothing more unjust than giving equal shares to unequals”.
Agostino Burberi, president of the Don Milani Foundation, will provide food for thought.
Thursday 16th attention will focus on the legacy of life and thought left by the Florentine priest with the screening of Alessandro GA D’Alessandro’s film “The lesson of Don Milani”.
A bridge between his message and the Church of today will finally be drawn on the evening of Thursday 23 entitled “Man of words and the word”.
The speaker for the occasion will be Brother Antonello Ferretti, custodian of the Barbiana school.
