Rome, 15 May. (askanews) – The trade associations of the industry and infrastructure sector of the Lazio Region – Unindustria, Federlazio, Ance, Confapi – and the General Commissariat for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka signed today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation an agreement aimed at enhancing the opportunities for economic growth and development that participation in Expo 2025 Osaka offers. The event, we read in a note, promoted by Maeci in collaboration with the Lazio Region, was held in the International Conference Hall of the Farnesina in the presence of the Honorable Vice President of the Council and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, the President of the Lazio Region, Francesco Rocca, and the General Commissioner for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka, Mario Vattani.
“With this signature, a profitable synergy between businesses, associations and institutions is implemented, a concrete example of the Italian System that we will bring to Japan”, commented Vattani, “Creating a system is fundamental for growth diplomacy. Regions and territories play a key role in promoting Italy in the world and the Italian Pavilion, thanks to our collaboration initiated with the Conference of Regions, welcomes them with dedicated spaces and services. Italy’s participation on the global stage of Expo is a unique opportunity to update and broaden the image of Italy, accelerate the internationalization of businesses and territories”. The agreement, from the perspective of growth diplomacy and in the context of synergies with local autonomies and territorial diplomacy, precedes the formalization of the Region’s participation Lazio and other associative and sectoral entities at the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2025, which will be held in Osaka, Japan, from 13 April to 13 October 2025. Present at the signing with the General Commissioner for Italy at Expo 2025 Osaka, Mario Vattani, the representatives of the trade associations Unindustria, Federlazio, Ance, Confapi, the Vice President of the Region and Councilor for Economic Development, Commerce, Crafts, Industry, Internationalisation, Roberta Angelilli, the Director General of Ice, Lorenzo Galanti, and the President of Lazio Innova Francesco Marcolini.
