The “White Night“, scheduled for tomorrow 19 April 2024 from 18.00 to 24.00 in the comprehensive institute “Vigo Fuccio – La Spina” as part of the “Book Festival”. The event will take place in the headquarters of the school, carefully directed by Professor Maria Castiglione, in via Monetario Floristella n° 4 in Acireale.
The initiative has now consolidated itself as a fixed and qualifying event for students, dedicated in this circumstance to a delicate topic for the entire community. The title of the event is not occasional: “The 1000 and a woman – night stories and stories of women“, reserved for students attending 4th grade and 2nd middle school who will be engaged in group work, debates and activities aimed at encouraging gender equality also through the selection and relative reading of illustrated books and in-depth analysis of them.
As part of the “White Night” there will also be a storytelling competition in which the children, divided into teams, will have to invent a story starring a female figure, with a strong awareness-raising effort on the values relating to gender equality and equality.
