Paintball Modena, Italian 3Men North Championship: Donkey P. in full swing!

There were too many pitfalls in this new championship format to be able to have many certainties and clear objectives at the start of the day: competitive Paintball is evolving so much that in the event held yesterday at the Modena Paintball facility there were as many as 14 participating teams, divided in two groups of Serie A and Serie B, with 3 relegations and 3 promotions already expected by the end of the day. In football jargon we would say ‘moving the table’.
This was the objective set by our Donkey P. at the seasonal debut of the Italian 3Men championship in the Serie A category, and with their temporary fourth place in the general classification they fully achieved their objective, not only remaining in the running for the first positions, but also growing during the day’s challenges! The Donkeys start off very badly, with the usual diesel engine that characterizes them and which takes a while to refuel, losing, as per a bad habit bordering on masochistic superstition, the first game of the morning with a clear 2-0 against Candelara which greatly complicates the journey of our children.
The repeated mantra was: however the matches go, stay focused to improve from mistakes and grow during the event: consistency in performance is the only fundamental formula to aspire to the top places in the championship in this new format.
And so it was! Thanks also to the great return of Danny, the historic captain and veteran player of our favourites, the team found balance and the games were more competitive, resulting in a clear 2-0 victory over Piacenza. Between ups and downs, the day passed with the Donkeys coming together, rediscovering the team spirit they needed to return to being competitive and, also thanks to Norman’s noteworthy individual plays, the day ended with the fourth place, not far from the podium, and above all outside the relegation zone.
This is a day that brings confidence to Donkey as they are still widely in the running to aspire to the highest positions in the rankings. Come on guys, full speed ahead, between historical memes, a few tutorials, play to the limits of Paperissima and every now and then some pearls of wisdom.
