What happened

According to a first summary reconstruction, a 64-year-old from Naples would have requested 118 intervention due to an illness. At the end of the visit, because he disagreed with the doctors’ diagnosis, he pushed and kicked the doctor and the crew nurse. The man was reported for violence against a public official and interruption of public service.

The reason

«Around 9.10pm station 118 of the Annunziata was alerted due to a psychiatric patient in agitation, code yellow in Vico Santa Maria della Neve, Chiaia district of Naples – we read in a note -. Once they arrived on site, the crew discovered that the patient was not in a condition of “psychomotor agitation” but rather in a moment of depression and panic attacks.
