This is the press release sent to us from the Pietro Giannone High School of Caserta: “THE GIANNONE HIGH SCHOOL IN FIRST PLACE IN THE CAMPANIA REGION AT THE OLYMPICS OF CLASSICAL LANGUAGES AND CIVILIZATIONS

She is a student of GIANNONE, Milena Casella – we read in the press release – of class 5 F, in first place in the Campania region at the OLYMPICS OF CLASSICAL LANGUAGES AND CIVILIZATIONS in Section C – Latin language and civilization and Greco-Latin language and civilization . She is a student of Prof. ssa Isabella Ponzetta (of the certimina preparatory team with prof. Elisabetta Petrarca and Ernesta Nozza) in the discipline of ancient Greek and prof. ssa Claudia Zamprotta in Latin, the very talented Milena tried her hand at an argumentative text on very complex passages of Latin and Greek literature on the theme of mermaids. The student – continues the press release – was able to grasp analogies with other classical authors and with modern European literatures, not only making the message of the classics emerge, but above all illustrating their relevance and conceptual effectiveness. Now Milena Casella will go to the national finals which will be held in Sulmona at the “Ovidio” high school. GIANNONE is the only high school in the province of Caserta to reach the national finals – we read again – confirming the excellence of its education: at the top of EDUSCOPIO and with “INVALSI results significantly above the national average”.
