May 1, 16 employees of the urban hygiene service in Andria stabilized

The municipal administration welcomes the news relating to the stabilization of 16 workers by the RTI which deals with the urban hygiene service in the Municipality of Andria. Workers who, at the beginning of the service, had been hired on a fixed-term contract. Last April 29th the employees saw their contracts transformed into a permanent contract and the Administration believes we are moving in the direction of implementing the workforce to further improve the quality of service in the city, effectively enhancing the professionalism already acquired. The Municipal Administration, the RTI and the most representative trade unions were present at the signing of the new contract. Currently the RTI which deals with the urban hygiene service in the city has 154 working units available.

«In an extremely difficult social and working context, of mistrust and defeat – we read in a note from the mayor – this news is an injection of confidence for all of us. And it wasn’t a given at all. I thank the companies Sieco-GialPlast-Impregico for making this important result possible, a source of pride for the administration. For employees, the beginning of a more peaceful life. This is our way of celebrating Labor Day. Last but not least, this milestone confirms the strategic nature we are giving to the world of work, creating conditions for growth and development for many. On this day, then, our city boasts another important recognition: our fellow citizen Francesco Lomuscio, historic collaborator of the “Mucci Giovanni” company, receives today from the Prefecture of Bari the decoration of the “Star of Merit for Work” awarded by President of the Republic, because he distinguished himself in his work “for singular merits of expertise, industriousness, moral conduct and seniority requirements”. All my recognition and applause goes to him because he is a source of pride and prestige for the entire city community.”
