PNRR and single SEZ: Minister Fitto in Molfetta on Friday 19th

In the Apulian municipality an event with a panel of entrepreneurs, professionals and academics

MOLFETTA – A Single SEZ to promote the South throughout the European territory. In Molfetta, Friday 19 April, we will take stock of the strategic plan of the Single ZES envisaged by the Southern Decree, which resources for tax credits can be counted on, and what is changing for businesses. As a key image of the event “PNRR and Single ZES. Concessions for businesses and development prospects for the South” the Torrione Passari was chosen, built in the sixteenth century and mainly used as a watchtower. And in fact the conference aims precisely to provide businesses and professionals with a complete overview of the prospects and opportunities offered by the Single ZES. We are also looking very carefully at the PNRR decree, which passed the vote of confidence in the Chamber on Tuesday. The decree provides for the fund-cutting clause and substitutive powers for administrations that delay PNRR investments, the rewriting of financing for the new Plan and for defunded works, and a very wide range of rules ranging from procurement to staff strengthening. All new measures to be accompanied with resources of 9.4 billion euros. With Minister Fitto and the President of Confindustria Puglia, Sergio Fontana, the issue of spending funds intended for the development of the South will be addressed amidst structural delays, infinite bureaucracy and regions that do not always have their strategic objectives clear. Precisely the latter, for the period 2014-2020, spent only 34% of the available resources. Now it will be necessary to accelerate and understand whether new scenarios will open up for the new period 2021-2027. And the new scenarios in which southern businesses and professionals will find themselves will be the key theme of the meeting. Chairman of the event will be Sebastiano Gadaletawho will moderate a panel on Mission 4 of the PNRR: a strategic comparison between Felice VitulanoDirector General MedisDIH, e Gianluigi De Gennaro, President of the Center of Excellence for Innovation and Creativity of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. To follow one round table on the topic of Artificial Intelligence and related investments, moderated by Gianni SebastianoPresident of Orienta, who will see as participants Giuseppe Pirloof the PNRR Mission Structure – European Digital Innovation Hub for Digital Transformation of the University of Bari Aldo Moro, and Francesco Elmi, CMO of QuestIT. Very interesting it will also be the discussion on the role of professions in the PNRR and in the Single ZES, which includes interventions by representatives of the BAT Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts, the BAT Order of Labor Consultants, and the Bari and BAT Orders of Engineers. He will take care of keeping the threads of the discussion going Vincenzo Rutigliano, journalist for Il Sole 24 Ore. Rutigliano will also lead the most important panel of the day, with the Minister for European Affairs, the South, Cohesion Policies and the PNRR Raffaele Fitto and the President of Confindustria Puglia, Sergio Fontana, focused on the development prospects for businesses within the Single ZES thanks to the PNRR funds. The appointment is on Friday at 3.30 pm at the Madonna della Rosa Auditorium, via Papa Giovanni Paolo II, 121, Molfetta (Ba).
