The State Police, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Como, yesterday evening, Tuesday 16 April, arrested two people from Como for dealing narcotics, in particular the love drug.
Love drug, three kilograms seized
The State Police, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Como, arrested a 27-year-old man from Como yesterday evening for drug dealing, with a criminal and police record for crimes relating to the law on narcotics, reporting at large for the same crime, also his 30-year-old girlfriend from Como and with no criminal record. The anti-drug service was implemented by the Como Flying Squad and included in the various services organized as part of the fight against the phenomenon of drug dealing, specifically to prevent the trade and sale of the so-called “love drug” – technical term MDPV – synthetic-based narcotic substance that is popular among young people in the Como nightlife. The investigative convergences of recent weeks have led the State Police investigators to focus their attention on the engaged couple; the 27-year-old had already been arrested by the same Flying Squad policemen last March 7, with almost two ounces of substance and subsequently sentenced to one year and two months in prison by the Court of Como.
Three homes were identified in the full availability of the couple, one located in the municipality of Blevio (CO) and two in the city of Como, in which the agents, despite the initial and vehement opposition of the 27 year old, carried out as many searches and where they found and seized 3.1 kilograms of MDPV, 18 thousand euros in cash and material suitable for packaging and weighing the drugs. Informed of the outcome of the activity, the Public Prosecutor ordered the arrest of the 27-year-old, who was also reported for resisting a Public Official and his transfer to the Como prison, while his girlfriend was reported to be free.
