This was announced by the Capitoline club which on the official AS Roma website explains how, thanks to the collaboration with Mater Dei General Hospital and Civil Protection Arvalia, on 22 April, upon reservation, Giallorossi fans over 45 will be able to take advantage of a series of free cardiological screenings.
More precisely, from 3.30pm to 6pm, near the Toyota Fan Village, fans who book at this link will be able to take advantage of cardiological visit with electrocardiogram and blood pressure measurement performed by specialists.
Anyone who is unable to make a reservation will still be able to go to the site and obtain information on how to book visits and exams at favorable conditions.

“We thank Mater Dei General Hospital and its specialists for their continued support to our most loyal fans,” he commented Michael Wandell, Chief Commercial and Brand Officer of AS Roma. “Their expertise and generosity have a significant impact on making these critically important initiatives possible.”

The initiative announced by Roma is in fact part of the Health & Well Being policy of the UEFA Sustainability Strategy 2030, which the capital club is inspired by.

«We are happy to be able to once again be alongside AS Roma in an initiative for the cardiological prevention of fans», declared Alberto De Angelis, Commercial Director Mater Dei General Hospital. “Because even when we talk about health we need to ‘take the field’ together to do great things.”

Cardiovascular diseases still represent the main cause of death in our country. According to ISTAT 2021 data, these diseases represented 30.8% of all deaths (27.7% men and 33.7% women). An effective prevention campaign can therefore contribute to reducing the mortality rate.
