Arrested by local police in Sassari.
Last night the agents of the Command of local police of Sassari arrested a convicted criminal from Sassari, caught in the act of committing a crime while, after having entered a car in which he had broken a glass, he took possession of his Valuables in the cockpit.
When at 11pm, an agent from the Command passed by aboard his car in via Calvia, near the art institute, he noticed a girl speaking excitedly with a man. The man had a backpack with him where the officers found numerous objects resulting from thefts perpetrated inside cars, including a satellite navigator, clothing and work tools intended for burglary. Within a radius of a few meters, 12 cars he had been in had been damaged shattered the glass.
The area of Saint Joseph has been targeted dozens of times in recent weeks in actions that mirror this one, and officers believe the man arrested is one of the serial thieves who acted to perpetrate this crime. The man was arrested and translated into Bancali prison at the disposal of the judicial authority. Investigations are underway to identify any accomplices.
