Rights and wages, agro-industry workers and pensioners at the assembly in Andria

Health and safety, right to care and public health, tax reform and wage protection. These are some of the issues at the center of an assembly organized by the Flai league, the agro-industry workers’ federation and by the Spi league, the pensioners’ union together with the Andria labor chamber, with the presence of the territorial structures of Flai, Spi and CGIL Bat . The meeting will take place in the historic headquarters of the Chamber of Labor of Andria on Friday 19 April at 5.00 pm, an assembly in preparation for the national demonstration called by CGIL and UIL which will be held in Rome on Saturday 20 April.

The initiative will be attended by male and female agricultural and fruit and vegetable workers and in the agri-food sector, male and female pensioners, called together by the Lega Flai and the Spi of Andria who will intervene with their stories and experiences during the assembly’s work, introduced by the coordinator of the Andria labor chamber, Antonio Di Bari. This will be followed by speeches by the general secretary of Flai Cgil Bat, Gaetano Riglietti and the general secretary Spi Cgil Bat, Happy Pelagius. The conclusions will be entrusted to the general secretary CGIL Bat, Michele Valente.

If we continue to plead the cause of differentiated autonomy, dividing the country is a big mistake, and we cannot allow it. Our initiative aims to represent the rights of citizens, pensioners and starting from the needs of income protection and health, the government’s actions do not help to resolve the waiting list times if targeted investment policies are not made on a public and universal health service resources of the PNRR, today must be used to improve the public service by avoiding entrusting services to private individuals who weigh on family budgets.
