brawl in Piazza Manin, North African man stabbed

Another fight in Vittoria, this time in Piazza Manin (known above all as Piazza Senia).

The episode happened last night and involved a group of North Africans. One of them was stabbed while three were stopped by the State Police. Those arrested are two Tunisians, aged 34 and 31 respectively, and an Algerian aged 31. The other subjects involved fled before the arrival of the police squad of Vittoria.

The injured man was taken to hospital he escaped without serious consequences and was discharged yesterday after being treated. In this case he is a 34 year old Algerian citizen.

Initial investigations revealed that the thirty-four-year-old Tunisian citizen stopped by the officers was the one who had caused the stab wound to the Algerian who had gone to hospital. The agents of the Vittoria police station then arrested him while the other two were reported in a state of freedom.

Investigations are still underway to trace the other perpetrators of the crime.

Meanwhile, they emerged other details on what happened on Sunday evening in Piazza del Popolo: it seems that some foreigners had started shouting at each other and started a fight, but when they saw some Municipal Police officers approaching they fled. When the Police and Carabinieri, called by the Municipality, arrived on site they had lost track of themselves.
