Luca Nardi and the Davis Cup in the same room. Surprise at Tennis club Baratoff from Pesaro this morning: the Pesaro talent returned home and waiting for him was the most famous and beautiful salad bowl in the tennis world. Not a bad welcome.
The winning intersection
Winning cross: 24 hours earlier Nardi, very unlucky, had injured himself on his debut at the Tiriac Open in Bucharest, hurting his ankle on the clay after 5 missed match points, then losing against the Brazilian Seyboth-Wild. A matter of moments: the Davis Cup, won by Sinner & co., on tour in Pesaro like a rock star from 12 to 16 April (it was first at Casa Rossini and then at Ct Baratoff), just today, shortly after 1pm, has greeted everyone in the direction of Macerata, where it will be on display until tomorrow 17 April in the headquarters of the “Claudio e Geo Giuseppucci” Tennis Association. Nardi then had time to observe her closely and perhaps whisper something like: “One day I too will try to take you home.”
Selfie and coach
Luca Nardi, sitting on a chair, still hurting his ankle, took some selfies with fans and enthusiasts. After touching the sky with his racket at the Paribas Open Indian Wells, beating world number 1 Nole Djokovic and reaching number 75 in the ATP ranking in the following weeks, the talent from Pesaro announced his sudden separation from coach Galimberti. A decision that surprised everyone, above all for the excellent results obtained and for the extremely long duration of the partnership between the tennis player and the Cattolica Academy. Not even 4 months. Nardi, if there are no further developments, will return to training in Pesaro (he had always remained a Baratoff coach) with the historic coach Francesco Sani.
