PROVINCE OF ALESSANDRIA – It was concluded at the provincial level “YourBusinessIdea” 2024, initiative for secondary schools aimed at promote self-entrepreneurship among young people, promoted by Confindustria Alessandria and became a national competition. They took first place the students of the “Sobrero” Institute of Casale Monferrato (photo above) with the project “Microplastic Symphony” created by the classes 3rd AC and 4th AC Chemistswho are also national finalists at the event scheduled in Gaeta on April 17th on the occasion of Youth Festival, where the provincial finalists compete to win the first prize and the special prizes. “Your BusinessIdea” falls within the scope of the orientation project “Work and school meet” created by Confindustria Alessandria and shared with theAlessandria-Asti Territorial School Officewith the contribution of Cassa di Risparmio di Alessandria Foundation.
Confindustria Alessandria awarded prizes in scholarships for the 2023/2024 edition to the best business projects presented by students on the www.latuaideadimpresa.it platform. The provincial awards ceremony took place on April 16. The tutor of the initiative is the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Confindustria Alessandria, and they presented the prizes Manuel Alfonso President of the Group, e Vittorio Miglietta.
The first prize was awarded to the “Sobrero” Institute of Casale Monferrato for the project of the 3AC and 4AC Chemistry classes “Microplastic Symphony” what does he mean reduce the effects of microplastics on the planet. The plastic poured into the sea forms microplastics which are subsequently ingested by marine fauna and re-enter our diet. Every year 2.5 million tons of microplastics end up in the oceans. “Microplastic Symphony” is an ultrasound system in which microplastics are separated from water and ingested by plastic-eating bacteria, thus avoiding water pollution.
“LaTuaIdeaDImpresa returns with a record edition for the number of competing projects” has explained Manuel AlfonsoPresident of the Young Entrepreneurs Group of Confindustria Alessandria – we are happy with the positive feedback because we believe it is extremely important that high school students acquire a spirit of initiative, a sense of responsibility and the ability to work in a team. These are all values that will help them a lot both in the world of work and in their lives. It was significant to note how in their videos some working groups decided to exploit the opportunities offered by generative AI to make the presentations of their products more captivating. The very content of many projects is linked to important and current issues, such as the waste cycle, the problem of microplastics and the need to make a transition towards the circular economy”.
Expresses satisfaction Laura BergonziDirector of the Alessandria-Asti Territorial School Office: “The “LaTuaIdeaDImpresa” project, promoted again for this school year by the Alessandria branch of Confindustria with the collaboration of the Alessandria School Office, represented a fantastic opportunity for the schools involved to try their hand at “knowledge” and “know-how”. ”: the knowledge acquired in class, through teamwork and with the supervision of the relevant teachers, allowed our students to start from an idea, transforming it into a real, finished and functioning product. This is a great satisfaction for the creators and creators of the works that were presented to us today, but also for the Alessandria School Office which, since its first editions, has supported this project with conviction”.
“For several years, the Cassa di Risparmio di Alessandria Foundation – underlines the President Luciano Mariano – is a partner of this initiative which allows secondary school students in the province to interact with the world of work, creating innovative projects that have a concrete impact on reality and our society. The winning project of the competition testifies to the great attention that young people reserve for the future of our planet and involves two sectors, that of Education and Instruction and that of Environmental Protection and Quality to which the Foundation regularly allocates considerable resources, also with the project ” Work and school meet, orientation projects” which falls within one of the relevant sectors of intervention of our organisation”.
The provincial race recorded a great participation, with 16 projects presented by four institutes: the “Levi Montalcini” of Acqui Terme, in Alessandria the “Volta” Institute and the “Eco” Institute, and in Casale the “Sobrero”. Awards and certificates of participation were also given to the other projects with the most votes at provincial level. They ranked second in the competition were the students of the “Levi Montalcini” Institute of Acqui Terme of the third and fourth classes with the project “EcoGym“: from physical effort to “green” energy. EcoGym is an innovative start-up that intends to create energy accumulators deriving from training with fitness equipment in gyms. The energy accumulated during fitness is later transferred to power a gym’s boylers while implementing sustainability.
Third place was awarded to the students of the “Eco” Institute of Alessandria of the 4AE Less class with the project “Recycle it Enough!” dedicated to environmental sustainability, and which intends to create an App to find the nearest separate waste collection bins throughout the city: “Reduce, recycle and reuse for free with the App”.
The “LaTuaIdeaDImpresa” project was created by Noisiamofuturo, tested and developed for the first two years by Confindustria Alessandria, and then became a national competition: it was adopted by Confindustria, is promoted by SFC – Sistemi Formativi Confindustria, Confindustria Giovani Imprenditori and from Luiss University.
