Viterbo – May 3rd and 4th for the project “Step by step, culture and nature in code”

The Eta Beta initiatives

Viterbo – We receive and publish – “Step by step, culture and nature in code”: the public appointments of the project presented by the Eta Beta ODV Association and financed by the Lazio Region will arrive on 3 and 4 May.

The project “Step by step, culture and nature in code”, presented by the Eta Beta ODV Association of Viterbo in partnership with the CAI Giuseppe Lupattelli APS and the APS Amici della Via Francigena, financed as part of the public notice of the Region Lazio “Community Welfare and Social Innovation: Solidarity Communities 2022”, is ready to open to the community on May 3rd and 4th.

The project, born from the desire to promote inclusion, autonomy and independence among young adults with various degrees of intellectual disability and, at the same time, from that of wanting to support their families in reconciling work-life times, includes various actions, some specifically dedicated to young adults with disabilities in ad hoc structured contexts and others also aimed at the external public.

As regards the internal laboratories, set up thanks to the collaboration with cultural professionals (Raffaella Saracino, Carola Susani and Alfonso Prota of Parole a Km0 APS), institutions (ASL, Municipality of Viterbo, Province of Viterbo, Istituto Istituto Istituto Statale Statale Superiore F .Orioli) and other Third Sector organizations (Cooperativa sociale Gli Anni in Tasca, Consiglio SS.Salvatore APS, La Tana degli Orchi APS, Click! APS), were organised: a workshop of bodily expression, creative writing and reading, sounds and movement that allows you to create courses aimed at cognitive enhancement (already in place); experiential meetings in the area with the coordination of the CAI section. Viterbo for the knowledge and study of the area, learning the skills for managing guided tours open to tourists.

The actions open to the community, however, include various cultural events. The young users, under the artistic direction of Francesco Cerra of APS Teatraedro, will measure themselves as organizers and managers of the events themselves, putting into practice all the skills developed over time thanks to the commitment of the operators of the Eta Beta ODV Association and other realities that have always contributed to their emancipation

The first useful dates in which the young adults with disabilities, beneficiaries of the project, will compete with the citizens are precisely those of 3 and 4 May, when the medieval historic center will be animated by San Pellegrino in Fiore.

In the large outdoor space of the Eta Beta il Papavero Center, which is located right in via San Pellegrino 49 and where thematic artistic installations prepared by the center’s users will be exhibited for the occasion, there will be various events:

3 May: at 3pm market organized by Officina 49 managed by the children of the Association; at 7pm aperitif and concert by the historic band Ramiccia.
4 May: 15th organized market of Officina 49 managed by the kids; 5.00pm readings of books and illustrated books for children and teenagers; inclusive snack.
