‘A Sky in Common’: journey into the Universe in San Cipriano d’Aversa. A unique and fascinating event to illuminate the sky of San Cipriano d’Aversa thanks to the collaboration between the municipal administration led by the mayor Vincenzo Caterino and the INAF – Astronomical Observatory of Abruzzo. From 15 to 19 April 2024 the event “A Sky in Common: Journey into the Universe”, a series of meetings dedicated to dissemination and information on astronomy topics.

The initiative includes a program full of engaging activities, including observation through telescopes of celestial objects visible in the period of interest, screenings of educational and informative material on astronomical themes, lessons and other educational activities aimed at schools in the municipal area .

The meetings at different locations, thus offering the opportunity to all interested parties to participate and deepen their knowledge of the universe. Here is the calendar of events:

– Monday 15 April at the “C. De Mare” Middle School at 8.00 pm.
– Wednesday 17 April at the “EG Segre” Scientific High School at 8.00 pm.
– Friday 19 April at the Market Area in Via Campo d’Isola at 8.00 pm.

The meetings will be enriched by the presence and intervention of expert researchers from INAF – Astronomical Observatory of Abruzzo, including Dr. Michele Cantiello, Dr. Marco Mirabile and Dr. Piero D’Incecco.

This initiative represents a unique opportunity for the citizens of San Cipriano d’Aversa and for all astronomy enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the wonders of the universe, discovering secrets and curiosities of the cosmos.
