The Santo Stefano alla Lizza auditorium in Siena reopens its doors for a new season dedicated to opera; starting today, Tuesday 16 April, Italian Opera in Siena, 2024 edition, will return to propose live performances of the best arias and duets taken from the most famous operas of all time, erasing the usual distances between artists and audiences of large opera houses, thus providing an authentic, intimate and evocative experience.
After celebrating its tenth season last year, Italian Opera Siena will this year reserve great surprises for the public by bringing to its stage, during the season, some of the most famous voices of the Italian opera scene. Naturally, like every year, space will also be reserved for the young promises of our territory, to allow spectators to meet new emerging artists and thus attend always new and unique shows.
The artists who will perform today, Tuesday 16 April, on the opening evening of the season, will be the soprano Chiara Panacci and the Venezuelan baritone Pedro Carrillo, artists with great interpretative skills who will face an extremely varied program to make the public relive the passions of Tosca , the emotions of La Bohème, Madama Butterfly, La Traviata, the joke of The Barber of Seville and The Marriage of Figaro. The singers will be accompanied on the piano by Maestro Flavio Fiorini.
The 2024 concert season of Italian Opera in Siena will offer performances every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 9.15 pm at the “Santo Stefano” auditorium in Piazza la Lizza in Siena and will end on Tuesday 31 October. There will therefore be many opportunities to learn more about the great operas and get involved in the great emotions that only this art form can offer.
