SAN BENEDETTO – A national event organized by the Institut Français took place last Tuesday in Rome at the headquarters of the French Embassy in Italy, as part of the initiatives of strengthening of Italy-France relationsforeseen by the Quirinale Treaty of 2021. Present were school managers, French language teachers and representatives of the Alliances Françaises from across the national territory.

Representing the “A. Capriotti” of San Benedetto the school director, Professor Enrico Piasini, and Professor Sandra Melosso, coordinator of the ESABAC programme.

At the center of the debate are the DELF (diploma of French language studies) – DALF (in-depth diploma of French language) certifications, issued by the French Ministry of National Education and adapted to the levels of linguistic competence, defined in the Common European Framework of reference for languages.

Recognized throughout the world, certifications constitute a tool for enhancing individual academic paths and they promote student and professional mobility.

During the event, various projects to strengthen the French language active in schools were presented, aimed at promoting intercultural linguistic education and building European citizenship. The ceremony for the delivery of certificates to the schools present finally closed the day’s proceedings.

At the IIS “A. Capriotti” was also awarded a plaque in recognition of the commitment with which it has stood out for years in the promotion of DELF certifications, through preparation courses for students, held by native speaking teachers. The Institute is Furthermore, starting from this year, it will be an accredited location for DELF certification exams schoolboy.

The Headmaster expresses great satisfaction: “This recognition for our Institute makes the entire school community proud which, based on the indications of the 2021 Quirinale Treaty, promotes, in its own small way, the very strong historical and geographical bond that unites Italy and France. Countries with common objectives, such as the maintenance of peace, the promotion of human rights, the protection of global public goods and the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda, for social, sustainable and inclusive development which also passes through the fundamental role played from education and from the Italian and French languages”.
