which places are monitored

Security operation. On Monday morning, during a meeting in the Prefecture between the prefect Claudio Sgaraglia and the provincial leaders of the police force, it was decided to increase “security measures” in the city. The choice, Palazzo Diotti said in a note, is closely linked to the attack launched by Iran on Israel after the tensions in Gaza and the Middle East.

The meeting served to “raise awareness of the security apparatus responsible for the surveillance and protection of sensitive objectives, also in view of the Salone del Mobile and the Design Week which will bring an event of international appeal to Milan”. During the appointment “the diplomatic, consular, commercial, tourist and cultural objectives of the territory were updated” which will be strictly monitored by the police.

“Security measures have been strengthened, intensifying control and surveillance services, with particular attention to the places involved in the Salone del Mobile and the Fuori Salone events which, with over 180 initiatives and approximately 1326 events distributed throughout the city, will attract thousands of visitors, exhibitors and personalities to the city”, reads the note from the Prefecture. “A significant increase in security checks has also been arranged at airports, railways and public transport networks, especially on days when greater public flows are expected”, assured the Prefect.

The Fair will therefore be constantly monitored, along with all the places where there will be an important draw of people for the events connected to the Fuorisalone, as well as stations, airports, metro, consulates and large shopping centres. “At the same time – concluded the Prefecture – intelligence actions will continue, with the support of the postal and communications police”.
