Cosenza, Rosaria Succurro received the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kosovo

For the President of the Province, “we wish to consolidate the cultural, tourist and economic-commercial bridge already established”

An important meeting, yesterday evening, in the Province of Cosenza where President Rosaria Succurro received the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, HE Donika Gërvalla Schwarz, accompanied by the Vice Minister Mrs. Liza Gashi.

The meeting began with a more confidential conversation between the President of the Province and the Minister of Kosova, which was held in the Presidency premises.

Rosaria Succurro gave her warmest welcome to the Minister and her delegation, underlining that «it is a significant presence, which wants even more to trace the important cultural, tourist, even economic and commercial bridge that right here, from the Province of Cosenza and the Calabria Region has been established with Kosovo and which will become even closer thanks to the memorandum of understanding already signed”. A protocol which, in the President’s intentions, “wants to continue in an even more active manner and the presence of the Minister today represents precisely this path that has been started, but which we want to accentuate and underline even more”.

SE Donika Gërvalla Schwarz underlined, on the other hand, that «as the Republic of Kosovo we are committed to being more present in Calabria, particularly in the Arbëreshë municipalities but throughout the Calabrian territory, because we want to help and nourish this exchange between people even more, which already exists and which will now be even more in-depth and institutionalised. I believe that a Calabrian would feel very comfortable in Kosovo and vice versa – she added – and we will therefore work with all our energy to make this happen.”

The official meeting took place in the Hall of Mirrors of the Institution, in the presence of a representation of Mayors of the Arbëreshë Municipalities, as well as the civil and religious authorities of the province.
